LALUZ BEACH RESORT

Located at Laiya, Batangas, Laluz Beach Resort is nothing but ordinary...

That is what we thought as we venture looking for the said resort. It was a four-hour drive from Cavite (time includes stop overs, which we did twice) and looking for the resort wasn't an easy task. The road was steep and undeveloped (did i mention very long?) and we honestly felt like we were on a mountain or something, thank God we have Ford Everest!

The main entrance wasn't very eye-catching either. It was rather plain; a typical use of bamboo to provide bahay-kubo accent, common theme to all beach houses.

I was not able to take a decent photo of the inn we stayed at but this one's a close match. :) As for the La Luz resort rates for the rooms, here they are according to their website

Standard 3,360 max 6 people(Aircon, 2 Semi-double beds)

Junior Premier 3,360 max 4 people(Aircon, 1 Queen Size bed)

Premier 4,500 max 6 people(Aircon, 2 Semi and 1 Double bed)

Premier Loft 5,520 max 10 people(Aircon, 5 Semi and 1 Double bed)

Annex 3,360 max 4 people(Aircon, 2 Semi Double Beds)

We booked the standard room since it was the only one available, and since we are a group of five, we requested for an extra mattress. After we got settled, we immediately explored the area finding these amazing picturesque views.

The photo above is the dining pavillion. The resort offers buffet lunch, snack, dinner and breakfast for overnight stays for about 1300php per head. The price might seem expensive, but rest assured, the food was worth it! :>

RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES

La luz beach resort offers all sorts of activites like snorkeling, flyfishing, jetski and other water-related sport. Unfortunately I was not able to experience all of them because im not the adventurous-slash-sporty type. I did try snorkelling though, saw all the cute fishies swimming at the coral reefs, haha :>

This is the story of my life: the sporty ones, my dad, younger brother, and sister, play beach volleyball while my mom and I sit on the bench watching them do their thing.

Day 2.

I promised myself i'd wake up to see the sunrise, but it didn't happen. So here i offer you the after sunrise photos! :))

After breakfast, we did the usual: swim, take photos, burn calories! haha

There weren't many post worthy shots during our second day probably because we were busy making the most out of the remaining hours of our beach life. Nevertheless, it was as thrilling and fun as the day before.

La luz Beach resort maybe an ordinary-looking resort and may not be one of the many amazing beach resorts in Batangas, but the sanctuary and peaceful atmosphere it emits is perfect for assuring family bonds, recreation and a get-away to remember. It is safe to say that this resort is one of the best and most definitely, it is worth the try! :>

Good Points:

Security. Laluz Beach Resort being a private facility tends to be strict when it comes to security. Upon entering the resort, we passed by a makeshift gate with a guard asking us for a name which will validate our reservation.

All Smiles. Every staff at the resort were all pleasing, greeting us with all smiles. I can really feel the essence of filipino hospitality throughout my stay.

Honest. During the trip, I accidentally left my hat at one of the cottages. Hours later, finally realizeing my hat was missing, i immediately went back to the place I've been and found my missing hat still sitting at the very place i left it.
