A Luxurious Island Life at Miniloc Island Resort, El Nido Palawan

Hey Everyone, summer is fast-approaching! Have you guys settled on your vacation plans? If not, allow me to introduce to you El Nido Palawan's Miniloc Island Resort - a fine, luxurious resort perfect for your dream summer getaway.

What I love about Miniloc Island Resort is its natural, rustic Filipino-vibe that generates a warm, soothing ambiance and a nostalgic sense of home . Honestly, Miniloc from afar (view from the boat) looks dull and boring - view is mostly sand, cottages and cogon (lots and lots of cogon). But once you've stepped inside the boundaries of Miniloc, even if its only in the jettyport, you will easily feel the relaxing ambiance of home

The jetty port is the main welcoming area of the resort. It is connected to an elongated deck that connects the island and the entry point. To the left of this deck is a picturesque view of the water cottages with the famous limestone cliffs at the background.

The All-Day Dining (my favorite area), is the located at the center-most part of the island. The best part of the All Day Dining, aside from the food) is the high ceiling which cause the area to be cool and breezy despite the hot summer weather. Just kidding, the best part is the FOOD. They serve in a buffet setup and the guest get to eat t'ill their hearts content. Friendy tip, all buffet meals are good so make sure not to miss any of it (breakfast, lunch or dinner!).

See how vernacular the interior design is - interior cogon ceiling, eggshell white shiplapped walls, bamboo accented counters, capiz wall lamps - everything just screams FILIPINO.

At the front of the All-Day dining is the Bar Area. I love how it looks like a modernized bahay-kubo and that the roof looks like it's floating.

Aside from the All-Day Dining and Beach Bar, Here are some of the amenities that Miniloc Island also provides:

• Gym

• Basketball Court

• Spa and Massage Hut

• Infinity Pool

• Suhai (for Kids)

Miniloc Resort also offers island-hopping itineraries including Big and Small Lagoons and Snake Island. This is to highlight Miniloc's vision of Eco-discovery.

ACCOMMODATION

I love that despite the fact that the cottages differ in massing and height, they manage to stay harmonious and within rustic theme. I also loved how they incorporated the vernacular materials of our local industry in the interor design and accessories.

Out of all El Nido Palawan's island resort, Miniloc gives off the most family-oriented. I recommend this to families wanting a more intimate bonding in a summer getaway. I also recommend this to people who want to relax and forget the hustle and bustle of city life. Trust me, the rustic vibe of this island plus the relaxing view of the Bascuit Bay and the limestone cliffs will replenish your energy in no time.
