EAT LIKE A VIKING!

Want to eat like a viking? Check out Vikings, a buffet restaurant located at Seaside Boulevard, Mall of Asia . They serve food from appetizers to desserts, veggies to meaty meals, from snacks to heavy meals, and a lot more from different countries. They would even sing to you a birthday song dressed in viking robes if it is your special day. Vikings accomodote customers not more than 9 pax. If you're a party of 10 and above you are welcome to their other branch Vikings Venue at the adjacent street.

Anyways, They serve fairly delicious meals and you'd really go back for more. However, I have to comment about the poor layout of their serving areas. They cater to a large amount of people but they choose to put the buffet tables in different areas and at the center. Some tables are even in between buffet tables. This causes poor circulation and traffic. I get that they want to seperate buffet tables according to category (japanese, veggies, meat, fish dessert, beverages), but still I find the distances between the latter inconvenient.

Nevertheless, there are still some good points:

1. WAITING DIDN'T TAKE TOO LONG. The number of table is enough to accommodate quite a number of people unlike other buffets. I was surprise by how fast we got in even though we got there late.

2. THE BIRTHDAY SURPRISE. Most buffets do this: Greeting the celebrant with a cake and a unique birthday song. The fact that they were on a viking costume makes it even more fun!

Don't get me wrong, I'd definitely go back! haha. But maybe I'll try their other branch at SM Jazz Residence (Mom said the ambiance and layout is better there!)
